story behind the story

“The idea for the shoot stemmed from my stylist Andre Austin. We wanted to play on the charm and attitude of British lads who ooze individual style and coolness. We booked Niclas @ VNY who I’ve previously worked with and Pavel @ Models International to create a contrast in their looks; one who is more playful and the other a bit more serious. Mixing the gritty East Williamsburg industrial landscape with the stark white interiors of 3rd Ward studios gave us more latitude for locations. During the shoot, I pumped up some Rolling Stones and just let the boys work their magic. They walked, jumped and danced their way into the frame and we are very happy with the results.” – Mark Gong
