How did you start your career?
I had a part time job at a professional photo lab, just to pay the rent, when I started at the University of Oslo. Soon the hours at the lab became much longer than the hours at the school, so I decided to study photography instead. I went to San Francisco to pursue my passion of photography at the Academy of Art College.
How would you describe your style?
Fragile but strong, nostalgic but with an edge.
What do you think is your best work so far?
Hard question, because I get so attached to each shoot… but I’m very happy with my latest shoot for Oyster Magazine #74.
Who or what has influenced you?
So many movies, so many books and so many people… but a few people I will mention here are: Corinne Day and Sam Haskins.
What sets you apart from other people in your profession?
That will be for others to decide.
How would you describe your view of the world?
With an open mind and open heart, ready to get wounded and pleased.
What music do you like to work to?
Indie and The Supremes.
Three people you would love to work with:
Charlotte Rampling, Chloé Sevigny and Kate Moss when she is 50.
Where do you find inspiration?
In old family photo albums, movies and the man/woman next door.
What are you loving at the moment?
The smell of summer!
Film you think everyone should see:
The Return by Tarkovskij.
Best advice you have ever been given?
To dare to try to make a living by doing what I love.
Who do you think is one to watch?
Viktoria Winge (musician and actress)

Many thanks to Julie Pike and Kiki at peppercookies.

Love the pictures, sexy but tasteful. Quite similar to some of my favourites, Stephane Sednaoui, Camilla Åkrans and Karl Klingspor. I also do love Corinne Day!
